Maackia amurensis

Small deciduous tree with a broad, rounded habit. Features erect, narrow, spike-like clusters of fragrant, dull shite, pea-like flowers in late spring. Coppery-bronze bark exfoliates on mature trees. Similar in appearance that the slightly larger yellowwood.
